We recently had the honour of participating in the Body Canvas 2011. The most colourful charity event of the year. In its unique fashion and spectacular body art and fashion show. It was hosted by Tottie Goldsmith and Aaron McCarthy. Featured over 100 models and artists, 100 hairdressers and make-up artists, entertainers, judges, 800 guests and full 3 course gala dinner.

We got to participate in hair for a couple of the models and crew members. Here are some pics.

Debutants

Recently we were chosen to participate in the special day of some of our clients. The girls in these photos came to us for help. We got to do some of their hair, their makeup and a couple of the girls had their spray tans as well. These special occasions are as much fun for us as it is for them. Transforming these girls from regular school girls it simply stunning is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Tori

We had the pleasure to do Tori’s makeup. Hannah did a beautiful job on Tori. The colours Hannah chose for her makeup was simply perfect for her gorgeous smile. Unfortunately we couldn’t complete the picture by doing Tori’s hair, but the stylist who did, couldn’t have done a more perfect job. Well done to her.(can’t mention the other salon)

Jamie

Jamie had her hair and makeup done in the salon. Hannah enjoyed spending time with Jamie curling her beautiful locks and creating her makeup to suit her complexion. Again a perfect colour selection using our new range of Bodyography Mineral Based makeup. Nice job Hannah. Can’t wait to see Jamie’s deb photos. If I get a copy I will certainly add them.

Alex

Alex’s hair and makeup was done by Cobi. Cobi and Alex chose softer curls for Alex’s beautiful dark hair. She just looked beautiful. Her makeup evened out her complexion and bought out the colour in her eyes.
Alex Tuscan tan (sprayed on by Hannah) gave her the glow every girl desires. Again I can’t wait for the deb photos.

Just like to thank Tori, Jamie and Alex for letting us be a part of their very special day.

Start the day with hair and make-up. In the comfort of our newly revamped salon, you can enjoy the pampering. Get your hair professionally styled by one of our more experienced stylists. From up styles to curls, straightening to slick we have a look for you. Then over to our make-up artist for a whole new look. With our professional new ‘bodyography mineral based make-up, we can turn you into a model.
Once we have worked our magic we send you off to the photo studio for your own personal photo shoot. With all natural lighting and professional photography thats where we complete the picture.

This month we feature mother and daughter shoots, then generations- thats you, your mum, grandmother, daughter in one fun filled session and then we will feature sisters.

Makeup Workshop

Are you interested in a makeup workshop. If you have been to one of our VIP make up days then you know you already love using our new ‘Bodyography Mineral Based’ makeup. You’ve tried it, you’ve bought it now you need to learn how to apply it. Come into the salon and put your name down for a workshop. Tell us it you would like a day or a night class. Once we have enough students we will give you the dates and you can confirm which you would like.
Cost is $50 and you will receive a professional 5 Piece brush set with our compliments on arrival.
Then the fun begins. Step by step YOU will create magic. With secret applications and special tricks of the trade, you will be a professional too.

1-on-1 makeup day Wednesday 12th October

IMPORTANT…For those of you who would like to come along to our makeup day of Wednesday 12th October we have a few spots left but they are filling up quickly. To secure your appointment, book in a time and pay your $20 deposit. You will get it back on any makeup purchase you make on that day.

Our makeup day on the 1st july was fantastic. I hope everyone that came enjoyed themselves. I know we all did. So much so that we didn’t even have time to take photos. Oh well maybe next time. The next one will be announced as soon as we work out a date to suit. It will be soon though. So please be patient.
